Mango on Monday

Jazmin ate mango for the first time today. We had half a mango each for lunch. She really seemed to like it once she got over the first taste. It was quite sweet. Such great baby food, because it's the right texture and can be served right out of the skin, so very little preparation needed. I guess it's the lazy way to feed Jazmin healthy stuff!

I bought a coconut the other day, which I am sitting here eating ATM and I had one heck of a job breaking the shell, and getting it away from the white. Now my fingers are cut from the knives (but healing well) and the kitchen was quite a mess. I got there eventually, only to re-discover how bitter real unprocessed coconut is. I'm still quite enjoying it, but it is very different to coconut ice, which is ususally sweetened with condensed milk. Every time I open the fridge it smells like Malibu, so at least the manufacturers of Malibu got it right!

I know this doesn't rate high in the interest stakes, it's only just short of blogging about blogging.

I am so pleased Jaz is prepared to try different tastes, Justin utterly refused anything at all strong tasting (and largely still does) It will be so good for Jaz to have all the lovely fresh fruit. Justy loved bananas and fresh pears and golden delicious apples but that was mostly it, at least is was healthy if not as varied as I would have liked, Nan
