Apologies

Silly me had an extra "http://" in the recipes address link on the right hand side, it should work now. Sorry!

Big Day

Went down for the funeral, the service was nice. After that we went round to mum's for a bit as we had to give James some of his stuff back too. Jazmin was getting cranky on the way home, so we stopped in at the Logan Hyperdome for some dinner.

Got My Open License

So memo to all other drivers: I'm out there.

Different state, different rules. That rocks.

Went and saw Jnaya on Friday, her mum died earlier in the week - the funeral is tomorrow, and I will be going.

New Link

The other day I found this website for recipes, it has got millions of them on it and many other features - like if you find one you like at the click of a mouse it will put it on a shopping list for you. This is not like "Add to cart" where you have to buy it off the site either. It will save recipes you like too. It's free to join and easy to use. I get the daily dish e-mailed to me and it's great. There's also a feature called "recipe roulette" where it picks out 10 random recipes - good for those nights when you can't decide what to make - Enjoy!

Jazmin dreaming

I'm not sure what Jazmin was dreaming about this morning but Di and I went in to check on her (as we do) and paused just outside the door to listen.

Jaz was giggling and laughing and we thought she was awake. So we pushed open the door gently and looked over at the cot.

There's Jaz, fast asleep on her side - laughing and giggling and sucking her thumb in her sleep! We'll never know what she was dreaming about but it must have been fun.

Well...after laughing to ourselves for a while we did some cleaning up until she woke up.

What a way to start the day?

Awesome....

Got a "A" on my written assignment and I've just completed the last test in the first module and updated my address.

Still not done unpacking

It sure takes a while!

John & Leah kindly gave us their old sofa and armchairs. I went to Spotlight and bought a new upholstery fabric and a glue gun, and have re-upholstered all of the sofa except the seat cushions, which I have covered with some of our curtains - our new place has blinds so the curtains are being put to good use, and we have other curtains over the armchairs, I think they look pretty good.

On Tuesday I went to my first guitar lesson - looks like it will be good, I am only intending to go for one term at this stage. There was a lady doing another course called "Jazmin" spelled the same way, - a great ice-breaker. Justin had an appointment in Toowong, near the city. I went with him, it's a nice place.

Last night we stayed at Jono & Emma's we're still looking after their animals, till Emma gets back on Saturday.

I am going to get the results for my natural therapy assignment tonight, the redirection has kicked in and I'll have to go and pick it up from John & Leah's. I have got 2 A's and a B so far.

My grandparents are coming up tomorrow, it's grandad's birthday so it's a good excuse to have them over.

We're going to get around to having a house-warming party sometime in the next two weeks, but North Oaks ecclesia is pretty busy, so it might have to be a weeknight. That can be an advantage though, means it shouldn't drag on too long...we'll see.

Still moving in

We haven't yet got all our stuff from Joel and Margy's place, so it doesn't really feel like we've moved in properly. We're hoping to get everything done this weekend, not a moment too soon, that's for sure.

Justin has been busy, with the last few days in Brisbane for appointments.

Jazmin is starting to get used to the new house, and we won't even be here for the next week, because we are going to look after Jono & Emma's animals for them whlie they're away.

Got a house in Caboolture!

And we're meant to move in today! More about that later, after we've moved.

Justin had a seminar to go to today in Surfer's Paradise, so I'm on the internet at mum's place.

We had a nice night with Jono & Emma last night and Jono taught Justin how to feed the horse.

New Brisbane office is open for business!

OK! The new office is open for business in Brisbane, and I've had a 100% response from our first marketing efforts.

I sent out 1 profiled fax and received it back in 5 minutes with a request to make an appointment. More faxouts to go today as I have now got the database to work from.

Today we are looking at more houses, sending more faxes and phoning for appointments. Overall, things are going pretty well.

Unimpressed!

Well so much for our appointment to look at a place today.....

1. We went out with Emma and got to meet Lucas (good)
2. We left the piece of paper with the address of the place we were to look at on the desk
3. We had to come back and get the paper
4. We were running late
5. We rang the agent to say we were on our way, but her phone rang out, left a message
6. Got to the place, and the agent had not turned up at all because.....
7. The place had aleready been rented out and they hadn't rung to tell us!!!!!!
8. Drove down to Narangba and the agents we spoke to don't do rentals
9. Drove back through Burpengary and got some places to look at tomorrow morning at Caboolture.

We're not really sure if we should live in Caboolture or not, because it's an STD call to Brisbane, which is where Justin will be calling most of the time. We'll see though because there are some good deals around for STD calls.

Had a nice dinner with John and Leah and Jono & Emma and then we all went to the Bible class. jazmin was very good and didn't make too much noise!

So another busy day tomorrow ..... yawn I'd better go to be I guess!

Lots done today!

We checked out the local shopping and got some washing done.

We went to most of the local estate agents in the area and we looked through a couple of places today as well.

The first one met all our requirements, but it wasn't really in a style that I liked. It's situated in a new estate, there were only a few other houses that had been fully constructed.

The second house we looked at was somewhat bigger, but the people in it didn't know when they would be moving out, so it makes it hard to plan around that and even though it was larger and more expensive I thought the first one we saw was better.

Stuff at Joel & Margy's Place

We took our stuff round to Joel and Margy's place, they have kindly agreed to store it for us for a week or two until we get our place sorted out.

We've got an appointment with an agent on Wednesday to see a place that we liked and I am going to see if we can see some places tomorrow too.

Jazmin has been a bit cranky, but I guess that's normal, as she probably doesn't understand what's going on and she hasn't got much of her stuff and is in unfamiliar surroundings. I am sure she'll be fine once we get our own place.

I am going to try and get some study done tonight (I'm studying natural therapies), I've obviously been too busy for it in the last couple of days.

Justin is doing ok, still a bit tired understandably, but he's starting work again on Wednesday. He's off taking the truck back at the moment.

We spent some of yesterday with my family on the Gold Coast on our way up.

We are finally in Queensland!

Moved up over the weekend, long drive.....

Now we're looking for a place to live :)
